About
I built this because I needed it.
Hi. I'm the patient behind ThyroidTools. A few years ago I was diagnosed with , and I ended up making the thing I wish someone had handed me at the time.
Why this exists

When you're in the middle of a thyroid condition, the information out there is either cold and clinical or warm but scattered across forums you can't search - and a surprising amount of it is quietly trying to sell you a supplement. I found that maddening.
What actually kept me sane was a spreadsheet. I logged every blood test and watched the numbers, slowly, start to move. Seeing the trend - not just one frightening result in isolation - was the first time the whole thing felt less like chaos and more like something I could get a handle on.
ThyroidTools is that spreadsheet, built properly - plus the plain-English answers and the honest stories I went looking for and couldn't find in one calm place. No accounts, no cookies, nothing to sell you. The things that helped me feel less alone and walk into appointments prepared, built so they can do the same for you.

What's here
Tools
Trackers, converters and templates that run on your own device, so you can make sense of your numbers and walk into appointments prepared.
Stories
Anonymous experiences from people who have been through it - mostly reader-submitted, with a couple written as illustrative composites. Lived experience, shared with care - never dressed up as advice.
Guides
Plain-English explainers that signpost the evidence - NICE, the British Thyroid Foundation, the ATA - so you know what to ask, not what to do.
My promise to you
- • No accounts, no cookies. Use everything as a guest.
- • Your numbers stay on your phone. The tools run in your browser - I never see your data.
- • Nothing to sell you. No supplements, no upsell, not now, not ever.
What this is - and what it isn't
ThyroidTools is an independent, patient-led educational project. It isn't a charity, it isn't a medical provider or clinic, and it isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the NHS, the British Thyroid Foundation, Thyroid UK, or any clinical body. Where I link to those organisations, it's simply helpful signposting.
I'm not a doctor, and nothing here is medical advice. The tools help you understand and organise your own information and prepare your questions - they don't diagnose, and they never tell you to start, stop or change a medication, dose or treatment. Only your clinician can do that.
Please talk to a qualified clinician, GP or pharmacist about your own situation, and never change your treatment based on something you read here. And if you're struggling to cope, please talk to someone - in the UK you can call Samaritans on 116 123, any time, free, and wherever you are findahelpline.com lists a free line for your country.
